Membership

Are you thinking about joining our church?  Are you wondering what it even means to be a member of a church?

If you are, The Church on the Hill is offering a new-members session: “Introduction to the Church on the Hill.” This introductory video presents foundational information about: the Mission of the Church, Church on the Hill, the Reformed Church in America, and our place in the “Big Picture. (If the link above doesn’t work, please paste the following into your browser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COxugmbrxAw )

There are three ways to join us and become a member:

  1. Letter of Transfer — This refers to transferring your previous membership from another church to ours.

  2. Affirmation and Reaffirmation of Faith — If you are not a member of a church and want to join ours, this method allows you to affirm or “re-affirm” your faith.

  3. Confirmation — In most churches, young people take lessons from the pastor until they are ready to “confirm” their baptismal identities.

Regardless of the way you join the church, you are strongly encouraged to participate in the new members' class to get a better understanding of what our core values and ministries are and how you might become involved. Joining Church on the Hill opens you to a warm, caring, and supportive church family.
