Thank you so much for the opportunity to be considered for your position of pastor. I look forward to learning more about the important work God is doing in and through your church family.

God has blessed me with a variety of opportunities to serve in ministry over the last 20+ years in the church setting as well as domestic and international missions. The primary passion of my family is cross-cultural ministry. We celebrate the diversity in the RCA and are intrigued by the unique setting in which your church family ministers.

In my leadership I try to embody humor, humility, authenticity, & transparency. My style is all about consistent encouragement and clear communication, making sure all people involved are valued and appreciated for the unique children of God they are. As a lifelong learner passionate about discovering how God is at work in our world, I have always been equally comfortable engaging with unchurched people as with those who are a part of the body. My greatest joy is seeing people come alive in Christ and discover their sense of calling in Him.

Responsible for spiritual care for a small church of 125 members. All regular pastoral duties including sermon preparation, Bible study leadership, pastoral care, outreach, etc…

Worship Pastor, Cornerstone Prison Church, Sioux Falls, SD — 2015-Present (Part time)

Coaching and leading racially diverse male inmates in a state prison to participate creatively in a weekly worship service. Oversight for praise team, choir, rap ensembles, poets, actors, and other creative endeavors for reformed church inside “the walls.”

Worship/Discipleship Pastor, American Reformed Church, Luverne, MN — 2012-2018

Leadership of all creative and worship aspects for medium-sized church (750 members), as well as adult discipleship. Oversight for choir, praise teams, dramas, video production, small groups, adult classes, etc…
