Helping children and neighbors have enough to eat
Food For Kids
Each week, we send simple, nourishing food home with children who need it. The Food for Kids program focuses on items that are easy to open, prepare, and enjoy—helping ensure kids have something dependable to eat.
Because the program is carefully organized, we collect specific items only:
Boxed cereal or instant oatmeal packets
Peanut butter (plastic jars)
Jelly (plastic jars)
Beans with pop-top lids
Pasta with pop-top lids
Ramen noodles
You can drop donations in the Food for Kids boxes in the church vestibule. Financial contributions are also welcome—simply mark your gift Food for Kids and it will go directly toward supporting the program.
Helping Our Neighbors
We also maintain a year-round food collection to support the food pantry at First Reformed Church of College Point. Donations help care for neighbors facing food insecurity. Particularly helpful items include canned vegetables, beans, fruit, soup, cereal, shelf-stable milk, pasta, rice, mac and cheese, pasta sauce, peanut butter, and jelly.
Look for the donation box near the church entrance.
