Introducing the North Broadway Youth Arts Collective!

The North Broadway Players is excited to expand our children’s programming this fall! Our Young Writers’ Workshop will be joined by a new North Broadway Youth Ensemble, bringing both programs together as the North Broadway Youth Arts Collective.

Both programs begin Thursday, September 10, and meet weekly through November 12. Children are welcome—and encouraged—to participate in both!

North Broadway Youth Ensemble
Thursdays, 6:00–7:00 PM

The Youth Ensemble is the next chapter of our Queens Community Children’s Choir, with a new focus on musical theater and live performance. Participants will learn and perform songs from musicals as a group, working with experienced adult performers and musicians. The Ensemble will perform with the North Broadway Players in February alongside the Young Writers’ Workshop.

Young Writers’ Workshop
Thursdays, 7:00–8:00 PM

In the Young Writers’ Workshop, every participant gets to write a play, either independently or with a friend! Young writers will learn how to use theme, character, dialogue, and literary devices to bring their ideas to the stage. All plays will be performed with the North Broadway Players in February. More information about auditions and rehearsals will follow.

Young Writers’ Workshop participants should have basic independent writing skills.

Join Us!

Kids can participate in either program—or stay for both and spend the evening creating, writing, singing, and performing!
