Membership
Are you thinking about joining our church? Is there something here that makes you want to become a member? A call from God? Perhaps it's the sermons, the church music, the beautiful sanctuary that puts you in a worship mind-set, or the friendliness of the congregation. Perhaps it is the outreach and the community service?
You can speak to our minister, the Rev. Justin Meyers, at the end of Sunday service to set up an appointment with him. Or, you can fill out a card in your pew and place it in the collection plate or give it directly to an usher.
We will offer membership classes twice a year so that you can learn about our church and what it means to be a member. You can at any time contact our minister and he will be happy to answer any questions you might have about our church, denomination, or the process of becoming a member.
There are three ways to join us and become a member:
1. Letter of Transfer - This refers to transferring your previous membership from another church to ours.
2. Affirmation and Reaffirmation of Faith - If you are not a member of a church and want to join ours, this method allows you to affirm or "re-affirm" your faith.
3. Confirmation - In most churches, young people take lessons from the pastor until they are ready to "confirm" that they are Christians.
Joining the Church on the Hill is not a difficult process and enables you to open yourself up to a warm, caring, and supportive church family ... One that you will be proud to say: "I'm a member of the Church on the Hill!"
